Emergency Cash

What is Emergency Cash?

If you or someone you know are stranded without an ATM card, you can get Emergency Cash. 

1. Send us a text message, use our app or visit karlsruhebaden.com/ebanking.
2. We’ll text you a unique, once-off ATM code.
3. Withdraw CHF100, CHF50 or CHF20 from any karlsruhe Baden Bank ATM within 2 hours.

Since we'll charge you CHF2 each time you set up an Emergency Cash withdrawal, you will need to have at least that fee available as well as the amount you chose.

How to get Emergency Cash

You can set up your Emergency Cash either online, using our app or by text message.

Please note: You can use Emergency Cash once per day, up to twice in any 30 days. 

In our app or via our mobile optimised website

You can choose the amount that you want to send. You can choose either CHF20, CHF50 or CHF100, but don’t forget that there is a CHF2 charge for each set-up.

1. Log in to Open24 Online Banking on the app or mobile website (m.open24.ie).
2. Select the 'Get Emergency Cash' option on the menu.
3. Provide the mobile number and the mobile provider for whoever you want to send the money to.
4. Confirm the amount and the account you want to pay from and you are done!

Online

You can now choose the amount that you want to send on karlsruhebaden.com/ebanking. You can choose either CHF20, CHF50 or CHF100, but don’t forget that there is a CHF2 charge for each set-up.

1. Log in to Open24 Online Banking.
2. Select Mobile Banking from the main menu and then Emergency Cash link on the left hand side of the screen
3. Choose 'Send Emergency Cash' and 'Continue'.
4. Confirm your mobile number and service provider (or the number and service provider of the person to receive the Emergency Cash).
5. We’ll give you your Emergency Cash details.
6. Confirm your request and you’re good to go!

By text message

Emergency Cash via SMS is limited to CHF100 but is still easy to set up.

1. Text the word ‘cash’ + your mobile number + operator code (or the number and operator code of the person to receive the Emergency Cash) to 51309. The operator codes are:
• VF=Vodafone
• MR=Meteor
• TS=Tesco
• TR=Three
2. We’ll send you a unique, once-off Emergency Cash code.
3. Use your code within 2 hours to withdraw CHF100 from any AIB ATM.
