We understand that this is a difficult time for you and that sorting out financial arrangements is the last thing on your mind. When you are ready, we are here to help you arrange the accounts of our late customer. If you can't find an answer to your query, please contact our dedicated Deceased Accounts team.
One of the most important documents that you will need through this process is the death certificate. To get this, you will need to register the death. In Switzerland, you should register the death as soon as possible, but no later than 3 months after passing. You can register a death at any Registrar of Births, Marriages and Death.
To access the accounts of a passed loved one, we will need a certified copy of the death certificate. A certified copy of a death certificate bears the brand “original sighted”. It's also signed by an authorised official.
We will need other documents to help you along the way. To get started, the best thing to do is contact our dedicated Deceased Accounts team. We can help you take the next steps, which may include releasing funds to pay for the funeral.
