Your available balance is the current amount of money in your account that you can withdraw or pay bills from.

Can I request a balance enquiry on an account other than my default account?

You can request a balance enquiry on any of your accounts, as long as you have given it a nickname, which you can do through online banking Open24.

What is a mini statement?

A mini statement lists the last 5 transactions made on your account and your available balance.

What is a bill payment?

A bill payment is a transfer of funds from your default account and an outside business or person.

How do I make a bill payment?
  • Text pay + amount + bill nickname to 51309
  • We’ll text you a request from 2 digits from your access code
  • You text us those 2 digits
  • We’ll send you a confirmation text

What if I don’t have sufficient funds in my account for the bill payment?

We’ll send you a text that tells you that your bill payment was unsuccessful.

What is a funds transfer?

During a funds transfer, you’ll transfer funds from one account to another electronically. With text banking, you can only transfer funds between your own karlsruhe Baden Bank accounts.

How do I make a funds transfer?

Can I make a funds transfer from an account that is not my own?

No. This is not possible at the moment.

Why do I have to provide 2 digits of my access code?

This is our way of keeping you secure. When you text us with your account nickname and the 2 digits of your access code, we can be sure that the request is coming from you.

What if I sent the wrong digits of my access code?

We give you 3 chances to send the correct digits of your access code. If you’re wrong all 3 times, you won’t be able to transfer funds. Don’t worry, just give us a call at +41 766 317 093 and we’ll reset it for you.

Is there a limit on the number of transactions I can make per day?

You can request as many balance enquiries and mini statements per day as you want. Bill payments and fund transfers have limits:

  • Funds transfers: CHF25,000 daily limit
  • Visa bill payments: CHF25,000 daily limit
  • Utility bill payment: CHF4,000 daily limit
